Useful iOS Shortcuts

- If you own an iPhone, the Shortcuts app is your best friend. Here are the shortcuts that we use.
- This allows you to send a text/Stop ID to your transit provider for the next bus information
- Sample usage: When your bus doesn’t arrive after 20 minutes…
- By default, you can choose between 3 stops, although you can add more
- If you are riding the TTC in Toronto, your recipient is 898882
- This allow you to set your phone to Do Not Disturb for a certain period of time/until a specified time
- Sample usage: When you arrive at a movie theatre, you can set your phone to DND for the duration of the movie
- This allows you to send a text message to a friend/family member of your travel time to them
- Sample usage: When a bad traffic jam makes you late for class by the time you get home, you can use this to notify a family member
- Created by Apple, this is a good shortcut to get started with Apple’s own tutorial
- The travel time is set to Drive by default, but can also be Transit, Walk or choose when run
- We modified the shortcut to be in Chinese
- This calculates the travel time it takes to reach school and when you need to leave by
- Sample usage: Use first thing in the morning to find out how much time you have until it’s too late
